RESTO and FOOD REVIEW: SWEET INDULGENCE at PARVATI
Saturday, October 06, 2012
I’m a big desserts fan. And hearing about Parvati’s wonderful feedback and reviews, made me excited to visit their store and taste the heavenly menu they offer.
It was Friday and my restday and while waiting for le boyfie's time out, I went to Trinoma to procrastinate before the clock hits six. So I remember this cafe I’ve been wanting to try-out - The Parvati.
Parvati offers best selling desserts from different stores. Indeed a one-stop shop for the most loved pastries from home-bakers.
I only wanted to have their carrot cake, but upon seeing their vast menu of desserts and gourmet dishes, I ordered their pasta as well.
If you’ll be dining in, you’ll automatically get two free refills of their complimentary brewed coffee, served before your order comes |
Shrimp Etouffee Pasta |
That same day, namja chingu and I will be going to Octoboy. So I just had a very light meal. I tried their half serving of Shrimp Etouffee Pasta which costs Php120.
Spicy food are my weakness but this dish is an exception. It’s really delicious although I drink water then eat pasta alternately, because it’s too spicy for me :)
Finally, dessert time. I originally wanted to taste some chocolate cakes. But ended up ordering two carrot cupcakes, which only cost Php50 per piece. Affordable isn’t it?
The cupcake made in carrots and some tiny chunks of pineapple topped with buttery cream and chopped walnuts, is really flavorful. And it really blends well with the brewed coffee. I’ve also tasted the popular red velvet cupcake. But believe me, the carrot cupcake is way better!
The Parvati store is located at Trinoma Mindanao Lobby and just below National Bookstore. Go visit now and have a taste of heaven :)
