Less than a year to go. Two hundred and ninety-six days to be exact. I'm not sure if I should already panic because we still haven't reserved our church and reception venue. But I'm still glad that we're able to accomplish some of the tasks.

Church Undecided
I thought that getting a church reservation will be the easiest part of planning a wedding. But hell no! There were too many requirements and I'm torn between two locales - Capitol and Pilot. My choice is the Locale of Capitol. Although the church does not have air conditioning (I still wonder why after a year they haven't thought of putting an AC in that humongous church), I still prefer getting married on that locale. Why? Because the church interior is amazing. Well, all of our churches have beautiful interiors. But this one is exceptional. I can already imagine how the wedding photos will turn out.

Here are some photos of the church's interior:

Beautiful, isn't it? However, making a reservation in tedious. So we'll need to visit our District office first to clarify all the things they're asking us to do. In addition to that, it is not air-conditioned. It'll be a late afternoon-early evening wedding and I'm wishing that it will not be humid.

Locale of Pilot, which is just a few blocks away from our house, is my fiance's choice. The church has a nice interior as well and it is well ventilated. It's just that I can't find a good spot outside the church to take wedding photos. But when it comes to church reservation, it's easier as it is my fiance's locale and the head secretary will help us with the booking. Another thing, is that the parking might be a problem to our guests.

Photo and Video - Booked
We've already had our contract signing for our photo and video team. And it's non other than Cupcake Cinema for the video and some freelance photographers for the snaps. I was lucky to grab a really good deal even after their promo period.

We haven't talked about the details yet as both sides are busy. But I'm certain that these two will take good care of us and will gave us the memories :)

Florist Booked
That day, when I saw Ysabela Florist's creations on my highschool friend's wedding, I was in awe. Promised myself that she'll also be my florist on my big day. Aside from positive reviews from past brides, seeing their works on the event itself was a decision point.

We got their most affordable rate as we only need the church decor as other stuff (wedding bouquet, entourage flowers, boutonnieres) will all be DIY by yours truly.

Photobooth to be booked
It will be no other than Shutter Monster! The owners, are a friend of a highschool / campus journalism buddy. Thank GOD that she introduced me to them, because their photo layouts are just what I like. I haven't booked them yet. But as soon as we booked the venue, I'll talk with the Shutter Monster team.

Wedding Bands - bought
We chose not to spend too much on getting our wedding band. I remember a gradeschool classmate telling me to invest on wedding rings as it is can be pawned, when you're in need. I beg to disagree. Rings are your signs of your eternal love. If your only intention is too sell because of its worth when you're in a difficult situation, then you have to think twice.

I'm glad that my fiance and I agreed on this. Seriously, I don't have any idea on the designs I want for the wedding band. And if I do, the designs I want will cost a minimum of 50k. Too pricey and out of our budget. I also have a trauma wearing gold jewelries as I was robbed once (Mind you it happened mid-day and there were lots of commuters who saw the incident). So I let my fiance decide on it. He wants a ring that will literally 'last forever' - a titanium ring.

As what Wikipedia states,
Titanium rings offer several unique properties: they are biocompatible (hypoallergenic), lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and have the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any crystalline metal.

So I checked online and found out that Zoey sells the most affordable titanium rings in the country. They have a wide variety of choices for engagement and weddings. And they're all drool-worthy.

I immediately scheduled a meeting to check the rings. The dealer (which I forgot the name) was so nice. She's not the type who will force you to get the item if it does not suit you. I wanted to get an engagement ring as well but all the designs won't fit me. Blame it on my tiny fingers. The wedding ring design doesn't also fit me so I ended up getting my fiance's choice (although the ring is still too loose when worn). I don't want to look for any other suppliers because I thought that Zoey offers the best deal. We got it for less that 10,000php with a lifetime-warranty.  Whoa!

If you're a budget-couple like us, you might want to check out Zoey's product. I'm sure, you'll never regret getting them as your wedding supplier.

Our Wedding Band

I wanted another design. Unfortunately, my ring finger is too small. So I got a ring that fits my size. Luckily, this what my fiance really wants.

Wedding Crafts - In progress

I've mentioned on a previous post (ONK DO-IT-YOURSELF CRAFTS)that I'll be doing the DIY part of my wedding. And here are the progress:
  • Invitation: My love and hate relationship in doing my invitation continues. I've changed the layout thrice. I also had to modify the watercolor floral design (which I also did) for several times. And for an individual without any graphic knowledge in using Photoshop and Illustrator, it is tedious.
Too many versions. Hahaha! But I still had to edit the last one :P

  • Bouquets and Corsages: I started this last April and I still have a long way to go. This is the most tiring part. I'm doing this all by myself and it's not easy. I even injured my right thumb while doing my first bouquet and had to stop for a week to get it healed! Yikes!

OTHER SUPPLIERS

  • VENUE: We're already decided that we'll hold the reception in a clubhouse, instead of the usual expensive and grand venues. However, we are still undecided what venue we should choose. Should we book DAHHA or Don Jose Clubhouse? The difference are their rental rates. One is way more affordable than the other. The other clubhouse looks more appealing. Eotteokhe!!!
  • CATERER: We'll get Madel's no matter what. But we haven't book our venue yet, so we can't meet Ms. Anj again. Hoping that we'll still get the rates for this year.
  • HOTEL for PREPARATION: We want our hotel to be as close to our church and venue. Yes, we are planning to book Microtel-UP Ayala Technohub. But reading some reviews, I can see negative feedback on this hotel. Plan B? Get The Cocoon Boutique Hotel. However, my fiance is still too hesitant to get it, as it farther than the church. Eotteokhe!!! *again
  • BRIDAL GOWN and ENTOURAGE: My first choice was to get a bespoke gown from Haydee Garcia. But I was lucky to bump into a highschool / college classmate, as she informed that her mom also do bridal and entourage gowns. Cool! Compare to the quotations I got from respective wedding designers, hers is a lot more cheaper. Aside from that, they just live a few streets away from us. Thus eliminating the time to travel. After roaming around the busy streets of Divisoria, I must say that they offer the most competitive bridal gowns as it's more affordable that anywhere else. My only concern is that I've read some horror stories and I don't want to waste our hard-earned money to scammers and fake designers. So I think I'll really get The Outfit as one of the suppliers.
  • GROOM & ENTOURAGE RENTALS: It will be more practical if we'll just rent the suits for the Groom and the rest of the entourage. Since my fiance does not want to have a tailored one, we'll just scour RDM's Rental Shop for his preferred design. If not, then we'll look at malls or other shops.
  • LIGHTS & SOUNDS: We'll get Audiotrixx. The owner, who happens to be my fiance friend will manage our Lights and Sound. I think if we're lucky enough, we'll get it for a more affordable rate. However, the Audiotrixx team is still busy with their events, that we're still unable to talked with the owner.
That's it! Did I miss some suppliers? Just write on the comment below. You may also share your thoughts or recommendations for other wedding teams.

Happy Preps!
