I wanted another design. Unfortunately, my ring finger is too small. So I got a ring that fits my size. Luckily, this what my fiance really wants. |
- Invitation: My love and hate relationship in doing my invitation continues. I've changed the layout thrice. I also had to modify the watercolor floral design (which I also did) for several times. And for an individual without any graphic knowledge in using Photoshop and Illustrator, it is tedious.
Too many versions. Hahaha! But I still had to edit the last one :P |
- Bouquets and Corsages: I started this last April and I still have a long way to go. This is the most tiring part. I'm doing this all by myself and it's not easy. I even injured my right thumb while doing my first bouquet and had to stop for a week to get it healed! Yikes!
Felt Flowers! Yes that's our color palette. |

OTHER SUPPLIERS
- VENUE: We're already decided that we'll hold the reception in a clubhouse, instead of the usual expensive and grand venues. However, we are still undecided what venue we should choose. Should we book DAHHA or Don Jose Clubhouse? The difference are their rental rates. One is way more affordable than the other. The other clubhouse looks more appealing. Eotteokhe!!!
- CATERER: We'll get Madel's no matter what. But we haven't book our venue yet, so we can't meet Ms. Anj again. Hoping that we'll still get the rates for this year.
- HOTEL for PREPARATION: We want our hotel to be as close to our church and venue. Yes, we are planning to book Microtel-UP Ayala Technohub. But reading some reviews, I can see negative feedback on this hotel. Plan B? Get The Cocoon Boutique Hotel. However, my fiance is still too hesitant to get it, as it farther than the church. Eotteokhe!!! *again
- BRIDAL GOWN and ENTOURAGE: My first choice was to get a bespoke gown from Haydee Garcia. But I was lucky to bump into a highschool / college classmate, as she informed that her mom also do bridal and entourage gowns. Cool! Compare to the quotations I got from respective wedding designers, hers is a lot more cheaper. Aside from that, they just live a few streets away from us. Thus eliminating the time to travel. After roaming around the busy streets of Divisoria, I must say that they offer the most competitive bridal gowns as it's more affordable that anywhere else. My only concern is that I've read some horror stories and I don't want to waste our hard-earned money to scammers and fake designers. So I think I'll really get The Outfit as one of the suppliers.
GROOM & ENTOURAGE RENTALS: It will be more practical if we'll just rent the suits for the Groom and the rest of the entourage. Since my fiance does not want to have a tailored one, we'll just scour RDM's Rental Shop for his preferred design. If not, then we'll look at malls or other shops.
LIGHTS & SOUNDS: We'll get Audiotrixx. The owner, who happens to be my fiance friend will manage our Lights and Sound. I think if we're lucky enough, we'll get it for a more affordable rate. However, the Audiotrixx team is still busy with their events, that we're still unable to talked with the owner.
That's it! Did I miss some suppliers? Just write on the comment below. You may also share your thoughts or recommendations for other wedding teams.
Happy Preps!
