A highshool friend finally tied the knot a week ago. It was a fun Catholic wedding (although her husband is of the Igorot descent). Compared to the Catholic wedding I've attended last December, theirs are more organized. I think it's always better to get married in a more secluded and affordable church than in a more popular and expensive one.

And because I'm somehow became a consultant for her wedding, I'll be sharing my opinion on some of her suppliers.

Our Lady of Remedies (Don Enrique Heights)

To be honest, I'm not a comfortable whenever I go inside a Catholic church. But the ambiance of Our Lady of Remedies is different. It's so calming. I love how the birds go back in forth inside the church and hummed together with the choir. Aside from that, all the church goers are all the bride and groom's relatives and friends, making it more intimate.

Another plus factor is that they were able to book the church for free. Why? Because they're friends with the priests. As a matter of fact. four priests were present during their wedding.

Do-it-Yourself Felt Crafts by a Batchmate

No doubt that her works are superb. But I hate to say how unprofessional she is. I tried to help my friend and recommended her because I know that her products are so much better than the other felt crafts I see online. However, for an unknown reason, she started lying again. Again, because I've noticed it before but I just ignored it.

My friend contacted her as early as October. But she haven't replied until November. She promised to deliver the finished product by the end of December or first week of January. Then it changed to five days before the event. However, the bride only received it three days after. Sigh!

Let's just keep the name of the shop confidential as I don't want her other customers to lose trust on her.

Oh by the way, she promised me before that she'll provide a free bouquet on my wedding day. And as expected. It's another lie.

(If only I have the right tools to make all those felt flowers, I'll do it myself.)

Dorie's Catering

That was my first encounter with Dorie's Catering. The bride got their 70k package and just added 350 php per head.  Out of the five dishes served to us, I only enjoyed one viand (which unfortunately I forgot the name). So we are crossing this caterer out from our list.

But props with the styling. The designs were simple yet elegant.

And oh! We were not able to try their free photobooth because the technician was not friendly at all. Tsk Tsk Tsk.

CGM Photography

I still haven't seen the official wedding photos. But I find the prenuptial photos plain like a usual snapshot of an amateur photographer. No editing at all. What I love about this team, is how they executed the SDE. It's really beautiful! And their photobooth technicians were nice with the guests.

Bridesdream

My highschool friend looks amazing that day. Thanks for the wonderful gown from Bridesdream that it made my friend looked the most beautiful lady on her special day. The entourage and sponsors also looked like royalties. I just hope that their package rate is affordable because I'm considering them as my couturier.

Soleil Capulong

Aside from that wonderful dress, another factor that made my friend the prettiest on that day, was the make-up artist. It's the same make-up artist that a previous highschool batchmate got last October 2013. Soleil Capulong really works like magic! In just a swish of her brush, you'll turn into a Cinderella.

Should I also get her as my make-up artist? Hmmmm... Let's see.

(Mianhe for the lame reviews. As much as I want to post the rates for each suppliers, I can't because I'm too shy to ask my friend for their wedding expenses.)
