Our third and tenth promise rings. Yes, no engagement rings and that's OKAY.

Oh yes! I'm reviving this blog to make way for my wedding preparations. It's still 89 weeks away but we have to prepare as early as now for the event (the truth is, I've been scouring the net since last year with possible suppliers, researching themes and wedding ideas, and formulating do-it-yourself projects).

We've been together for more than a decade. And people around us have been teasing us over the years to tie the knot. So why do we have to wait for another two years to be a legitimate husband and wife? There are too many reasons. Let me state it here:

1.) We are 'not' financially stable. But the fact that we are both the eldest, it's been hard for us to save for our big day because we have to share our wages to our family.

2.) I'm sick. I have Stage 1 thyroid cancer. I was diagnosed last 2012 and I'm currently being monitored if cancer cells will eat me up again. You don't know how hard it is to decide if I want to still marry him because I was too scared to leave him if worse comes to worst. But I had to be strong and continue our dreams. So I'm leaving all the decisions to the Lord Almighty and hoping that He will extend my stay here.

3.) My parents and relatives are not yet ready to let me go. Hahaha. I'm already 28 years old but the people around me still doesn't want me to get married. They still see me as that young they used to play with. Even wishing that I'll get married on the year 2020. What?!

4.) The original plan was to get married this 2015. But we don't want to wed on a weekend because rates are more expensive than weekdays. So we adjusted the year. By that time, we'll be able to hit our target wedding budget.

Too many reasons, right? But we've decided. We'll push through with this wedding by hook or by crook.

As I stated earlier, I'll be sharing my wedding preparations here. I hope that future brides will get to learn and acquire ideas from the articles I'll be posting.

Happy preps!
